A traditional Craftsman style home in Terre Haute, Ind., got a porch makeover by Patio Enclosures. The original screened-in porch allowed furnishings to get wet and dirty and, once the weather turned cool, the homeowners had to head inside.
The owners were concerned that the unusual arched openings of the porch that were part of the Craftsman charm would be an obstacle when enclosing the porch with glass. They contacted Patio Enclosures of Fishers, Ind., and a design consultant visited the home to give them some ideas. He explained that because Patio Enclosures custom designs and manufactures all sunrooms, the unique openings would not present a problem.
A white, three season room was tailor-made to fit the existing roof and brick knee wall of the home, located just off historic Ohio Boulevard in Terre Haute. The homeowners now enjoy expansive views of the neighborhood from the comfort of the room, even when the Indiana weather is cool. And, when the weather is warm and dry, they can easily open the windows to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the neighborhood.
A perfect place to entertain children and grandchildren, the owners are looking forward to enjoying the room for many, many years to come.
