Patio Enclosures® Three Season Room Replaces a Worn Out Deck
Realizing the deck and stairs off the back of their home needed to be replaced, the owners of this Needham Heights, Mass., home decided to take the opportunity to expand their living space.
They contacted a few companies and chose Patio Enclosures of Taunton, Mass., because they could do the entire project without using subcontractors. They liked the idea of working with only one company and the loved the Patio Enclosures product.
The in-house engineers at Patio Enclosures designed a large sunroom, deck and new staircase leading to the backyard. The unique style of railing requested by the homeowners was no problem and was incorporated into the design.
A three season sunroom with wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass allows expansive views and ample natural light. Glass roof panels and glass in the wings of the gable roof add additional light. The glass is double-paned and insulated so the room can be used and enjoyed even on cool spring or fall days.
The owners are looking forward to getting more enjoyment from their backyard, entertaining or just relaxing. Even when the snow flies in the Massachusetts winters, they can rest easy knowing that the roof of their sunroom is built to withstand it. With three-foot-wide panels to provide more structural I-beams, the roof is strong enough to withstand maximum snow loads. The thermal barrier in the roof keeps the room more comfortable.
