Stargazing in a Patio Enclosures® Solarium
An upper front porch on this Grand Island, NY home was rarely used by the homeowners. Exposed to the elements, including the region’s harsh winters, insects, and noise, the porch was less than inviting.
Enter Patio Enclosures of West Seneca, NY.
The homeowners met with design consultant Steve Chojnacki from Patio Enclosures to discuss their needs, ideas and budget for the new space. They immediately liked Steve and decide to move forward with the project. Steve took photographs and measurements at the in-home meeting, so the in-house engineers at Patio Enclosures could design the perfect solarium for this Erie County home.
Functioning as a sitting room off the master bedroom, the new solarium is exactly what the owners wanted. To complement the home’s exterior, the custom-designed solarium features a gable roof that matches the pitch of the existing house roof and the sandstone color blends nicely with the color scheme. One-inch thick, dual-sealed, insulated glass, a standard in Patio Enclosures solariums, keeps the room comfortable no matter the season.
Strong aluminum glazing bars offer maximum structural integrity and exceed building codes for strength, a real plus when the Buffalo area’s lake effect snowstorms hit. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls and glass ceiling provide maximum views and natural light, even for star gazing at night!
The couple loves how the solarium turned out and use the space often. They would recommend Patio Enclosures to anyone thinking of a similar project.
