The hot Virginia sun prevented the owners of this home from enjoying summer afternoons on their open deck. They contacted Patio Enclosures in northern Va., to transform the area into family living space.
The couple met with a design consultant to review their needs and receive a free, in-home quotation. Patio Enclosures’ in-house staff then custom designed and engineered a four season room just for them. The design utilized part of the open deck for the new room leaving the homeowners with a fabulous indoor/outdoor entertaining space!
The all-season sunroom with a white aluminum frame features a 6-inch-thick, shingled gabled roof with glass in the wings for maximum light. The glass knee wall completes the floor-to-ceiling windows for unobstructed views of the pool and backyard that’s the Patio Enclosures exclusive Edge-to-Edge Advantage®. And for year-round comfort, Patio Enclosures installed Comfort-Gard® PLUS high-performance glass. Insulated with argon gas and utilizing a non-conductive Super Spacer®, the double-pane windows keep out the summer heat and winter cold for an energy-efficient, cozy space. The soft-coat Low-E coating on the glass also significantly reduces sun damage and fading from harmful UV rays so furnishings stay looking new longer.
