A Seasonal Screened-In Porch Transformed into a Four Season Room
Though the large screened-in porch provided protection from bugs, it did little to protect Diane from rain, wind and a chill in the air. She called Patio Enclosures to transform it into year-round living space.
Patio Enclosures designed the room to specifically to fit under the existing roof of the screened-in porch and patio and made in their Ohio manufacturing facility. Because Patio Enclosures custom makes every sunroom, they are built to exact specifications and no fillers are ever needed.
Diane chose a four season vinyl sunroom in a sandstone color to blend with the existing home. Wall-to-wall windows allow abundant natural light to enter the room making it ideal for reading, crafts or just relaxing. A solid knee wall, gives the room a more traditional look and it is sided to match the rest of the house on the exterior.
Made of virgin vinyl for uniform quality and consistency, maintenance of the sunroom is virtually non-existent. A UV-stabilized tint that resists fading gives the vinyl its sandstone color and, because it is colored throughout, any scratches will be hidden. A skeleton of construction-grade aluminum alloy gives the vinyl frame strength and durability. A frame depth of almost five inches and multi-chambered vinyl extrusions provide strength and increase thermal performance. The deeper frame also allows us to use 7/8-inch insulated glass, a long-lasting screen and a well-designed interlock to seal the doors tightly against wind and weather.
Now able to enjoy the beauty of her Durham, N.C., backyard no matter what the weather or time of year, Diane loves relaxing and entertaining in her new sunroom.
